A Fifth Season is a place of pause to grieve the death of my first and only child. A season characterized by reflection on the big stuff and the little stuff that this mom encounters as I parent the memory of my child, and my child, in loving return, parents my heart.
What a precious baby daughter you held in your arms. I am so sorry for your loss. ((Hugs)) at this anniversary time - not that every day she isn't thought of.
I would argue that it's not even a public alley. It's a fire lane. Clear as day. And a tow zone. I guess this is one of those times when "public" is synonymous with "owned and controlled by the athorities and NOT available for public use." In fact, it's sort of orwellian.
Funny. And sad. And it makes me wonder if the guy that names streets was really hung over that day...
ReplyDeleteHappy ICLW :-)
Thanks so much for your comment on my blog. I was reading below about Caitlin's birthday, and remembering reading your blog last year and crying.
ReplyDeleteJust wanted you to know I'm thinking of you this week.
