International Babylost Mother's Day
International Babylost Mother's Day is the first Sunday of May each year. IBMD recognizes babylost women all over the world as mothers. When a woman loses her first baby it does not mean that she is not a mother. She will be a mother for the rest of her life. We come together to celebrate our connection, our children and our hope for the future It is a day for love, peace, remembrance and recognition.
Interesting. This is the first I'd heard of this, & I guess I am too late for this year. But there's always next year...!
ReplyDeleteWhile I appreciate the effort to recognize those of us who have lost babies with our own day(s), I still wish there was more general recognition that Mother's & Father's Day can be difficult for those of us mourning the loss of a child (or a parent, too).
