Forty Steps--Such a Short Distance
Such a short distance, forty steps. But how steep, and how high, and will our feet be bare and the pavement hot? No matter, we climb. Not because we're strong, or brave, or courageous, but because it's the direction we must travel. Peace to all those whose journey is tiresome.

I love this.

thank you for this word of truth.

ReplyDeletei love this. i too hate being told that i'm so brave or so strong, that they couldn't IMAGINE doing what i'm doing. there is no choice and you're right, it is simply the direction we must travel.
